Can you complete the Brentford story? Each blank is the surname of a Brentford player who has played for the Bees in recent history. An example would be:

The sky was [1] ________ the day a man named Matt decided to leave his village in search of a new manager for his farm. His previous one had broken his [2] ________ and was no longer able to work. He had put up an advertisement on [3] ________slist, but no one had wanted the job.

He was [4] ________ by his family before he left, and after studying his map of Brentworthy he decided to travel [5] ________ horseback. He travelled down many long and winding [6] ________ , but most of the land that he passes through was completely [7] ________ . His journey was made longer by the fact that horse was not much of a gallopper, but more of a [8] ________ .

Food was quickly running out, and his diet mainly consisted of tins of [9] ________s. Eventually he arrived at some [10] ________ , which were very dense and had many tall trees.

He soon reached an enormous house that had [11] ________ floors than the tallest building he'd ever seen. The lawn backed out onto the sea, and there was a large [12] ________ stretching far out into the ocean. He felt a good [13] ________ about this place.

When he knocked on the door he was greeted by a bald man who said that he had experience in working with younger farm animals and that his name was [14] ________ . The man was clearly very wealthy and it later transpired that he owned an American Football team; the [15] ________ cowboys.

It was then that Matt noticed what a mess he had become on his travels. Several of the [16] ________s on his shirt had popped off and his shoes were covered with mud. He hoped the rich man would not [17] ________ him too heavily for his scruffiness.
