Brentford signed ten new players on permanent contracts this transfer window, one of the highest total intakes in the football league. These fresh faces have divided opinion in the opening weeks of the season, following Brentford's mediocre start to the Championship campaign.

Due to the new mathematical modelling system which has been put in place at the club, some of the signings are a little left field. We thought we'd give you a run-down of every new signing and our opinion on their potential effectiveness this season...

Akaki Gogia

Position: Winger

Price: Free

Former Club: Hallescher FC

Rating: 7/10

Potential: 8/10

Info: Looks a decent player, might need a little more time to settle into the English style of playing. Good touch and decent skills.

Ryan Williams

Position: Midfielder

Price: Free

Former Club: Morecambe FC

Rating: 2/10

Potential: 4/10

Info: A bit of a bizzare signing. Built up a reputation as a free kick specialist but has found himself behind the likes of Clarke and Udumaga in the pecking order.

Konstantin Kerschbaumer

Position: Midfield

Price: Undisclosed

Former Club: Admira Wacker

Rating: 6/10

Potential: 8/10

Info: Yet to have settled into the team alongside Diagouraga and Judge in midfield. However, has showed fantastic fitness and an eye for pass. Looks like a younger and more lively Jonathon Douglas.

Andreas Bjelland

Position: Centre-back

Price: £2.1m

Former Club: FC Twente

Rating: 9/10

Potential: 9/10

Info: An established Danish International, he looked very good against Stoke. Calm, collected and an experienced head that you'd love to have on the pitch. He was wanted by several Premier League clubs, but is ruled out for this season through injury.

Yoann Barbet

Position: Centre-back

Price: Undisclosed

Former Club: Chamois Niortais

Rating: 5/10

Potantial: 6/10

Info: Looked good against Stoke in our pre-season friendly and adds depth to our defence. Won't get too many starts this season but could cover at left-back if Bidwell needs resting.

Josh McEachran

Position: Midfielder

Price: £750,000

Former Club: Chelsea FC

Rating: 8/10

Potential: 9/10

Info: A lot has been made of this former wonder-kid. Had a good spell at Vitesse last season. A fantastic signing but Bees fans will have to wait until Christmas to see him grace the Griffin Park turf due to injury.

Philipp Hoffman

Position: Centre-forward

Price: Undisclosed

Former Club: FC Kaisersluatern

Rating: 6/10

Potential: 8/10

Info: Shows signs of quality but so far has been fairly inconsistent. Good touch and a powerful left foot. Like Andre Gray last season, he may need a few starts under his belt before he really begins to motor.

Lasse Vibe

Position: Centre-forward / Left-winger

Price: £1m

Former Club: IFK Goteborg

Rating: 8/10

Potential: 9/10

Info: Adds a lot of pace to our front three, but has been guilty of taking poor touches in crucial positions. Showed his quality with his screamer against Reading. Could score quite a few goals this season should he hit his stride.

Maxime Colin

Position: Right-back

Price: £900,000

Former Club: Anderlecht

Rating: 8/10

Potential: ?/10

Info: We've seen very little of him so far, but what we have seen has been very good. Quite a high price for a right-back (a little under what we spent for Odubajo) but he definitely could be one for the future. Wouldn't be surprised if we sold him on for a lot more.

Ryan Woods

Position: Midfield

Price: £750,000

Former Club: Shrewsbury Town

Rating: ?/10

Potential: ?/10

Info: Judging by the reaction of Shrewsbury fans, Woods really is worth getting excited about. Difficult to judge how he will settle into the Championship. Only time will tell if 'The Ginger Pirlo" is as a successful signing as he seems.
