New kit for "New Brentford"

A lot was made last season about "New Brentford". This term has been applied to our new brand of attacking football, our new statistical approach and now also to our new kit.
It's not so much the impressive nature of the football kit but the stylish photo shoot that went with it's release that has caused a stir, particularly on social media.
With players such as Button, Bidwell and Diagouraga modelling the all-new strip, "New Brentford" are hoping to secure record-breaking sales in the kit department, as we have already done in the season ticket department for this 2015/16 season.

Sometimes it's not always about the bells and whistles but about doing the basics, brilliantly. We've certainly done that here with three kits on show modelled in simplistic fashion, it's a well delivered campaign, letting fans take a glimpse at the changing rooms of Griffin park while they're there.
The home shirt clad with smart collar and an overall stamp of high quality, while the stripes of adidas lend themselves perfectly to the stripes of Brentford, especially on the sleeves.
The biggest change, however, comes in the form of the new away kit. Moving away from the yellow and black stripes of recent seasons, the Bees have gone in a completely different direction.
The all-blue kit resembles that of Chelsea or Ipswich Town. Should Josh McEachran eventually sign for us he won't feel out of place wearing the navy blue. Maybe the new away kit is just a ploy to get his signature!
Admittedly, it is a lot nicer than Brentford's last forray into "blueness" with our away kits. A few will remember Sam Wood sporting a light blue jersey, paired with black shorts and black socks.
Then we come to the goalkeeping uniform. From what we've seen of the new, green jersey it is a welcome relief from last year's flourescent blue and purple combination. This more standard kit may be less useful at putting opponent strikers off, but at least it is more aesthetically pleasing to those who stand in Ealing Road week-in, week-out.

Finally, with the new kit comes a new sponsor. Perhaps unsurprisingly Matchbook.com have extended their sponsorship which currentlyresides on the roof of the Bill Axeby stand to now also reside on the front of our shirts. The company is owned by Matthew Benham, and so perhaps the sponsorship will in turn benefit Brentford.
The deal is for one season, but there is an option to extend it for at least one more year.

Mark Devlin, Brentford FC chief executive, said: “I am delighted that Brentford FC has been able to build on our existing relationship with Matchbook.com and welcome them as our official club sponsor for the forthcoming season.
“It is a record sponsorship for the club, and we are grateful for their support. It is a sign of how far Brentford FC has progressed over the past few seasons that we can now attract market leading organisations to the club."
Matchbook.com spokesperson Roibeard Long added: “Brentford FC is out-performing competitors in the Championship and that certainly resonates with what we are doing at Matchbook.com. We are aligned with the Brentford FC trajectory and we are very excited with the opportunity to strengthen our partnership with them.
“Value, entertainment, customer engagement and success are central to Brentford FC. These values make them an ideal partner for us and the perfect platform from which to display our brand."
